From Jim Smith, CTIE:
While born and raised in Queens, New York, "I grew up (literally) at the Fillmore East, the Academy of Music, and wound up being actively involved in the New York concert scene, primarily with with Concert Service Specialists on Long Island, for over 25 years," says Jim Smith.
In addition to being a serious classic rock fan, Smith is a CTIE (Certified Travel Industry Executive) and President of Market Share, Inc and Brand Congruency, consulting firms that specializes in sales, marketing, competency assessment/development programs and branding initiatives.
The consultancies specialize in two industries; Leisure Travel/Tourism and Entertainment. Coincidentally, he is a travel industry/senior management veteran of 30+ years.
He gets bored easily.
A frequent guest lecturer at the Miami Campus of Johnson and Wales University and former member of the MBA Advisory Board at American InterContinental University in Weston, Florida he also accepts paid speaking gigs and is frequently seen at Travel Industry Conferences.
His charitable and civic endeavors include the Society for Accessible Travel and Hospitality (SATH), the Archbishop Molloy High School Alumni Development Group, The Arthritis Foundation, Tourism Rocks and the Rock & Wrap It Up Food Bank.
He is the father of what he calls "outrageous twin 15 year-old sons" and resides in Boca Raton, Florida. These days he pays for his concert tickets, just like the rest of the audience.
